Terms of Business and Ordering Information

We welcome orders at any time of the year, however, early ordering is advised as some plants sell out quickly and will not be available until the following September.  All prices include VAT @ 17.5%. 

Collection

• Container plants are available all year from our plant centre, where most of the popular varieties are arranged by colour to help your selection.  Larger field grown plants are available from October to March only.  Collection avoids despatch charges and we can give personal attention.  Please give 2-3 days’ notice before collecting orders.

Mail Order (NOT AVAILABLE JUNE - AUGUST)

• Our minimum order value is £30 of plants.
• We only despatch good quality bushy plants and we take great care in the packing of your plants so they reach you in perfect condition.  We have many regular customers, and are often praised for the quality of our plants and packing.  Our standard delivery charge is £9.95 per delivery, which is very competitive for the generous plant sizes, and saves you time and travel.   
• For delivery charges to Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Scottish Highlands and Islands and Northern Ireland please call for charges.  We will confirm delivery charges on sight of order. 
• Sorry there will be an additional delivery charge for orders over £200. 
• Delivery is usually within 5 working days of receipt of order, but the vagaries of the weather can sometimes delay things!  Some varieties may sell out during the spring/summer months but are usually available again in September.  We use a next day parcel service, (which can be to an alternative address, for example a neighbour or workplace).  We reserve the right to send smaller plants if necessary, at reduced prices.
• Orders can be paid for by debit or credit card, cheque or Millais Gift Voucher.  If you wish to pay for your order by cheque or Millais Gift Voucher, please select the 'Pay by Mail' option.  If paying by cheque, please send a Limit Cheque (i.e. Please write “not to exceed £……” across the top and leave the amount blank for us to fill in).  This will avoid the need for credit notes if plants are unavailable.  Cheques will not be cashed, nor cards charged, until shortly before plants are despatched.
• There is a minimum order of £100 of plants for EC countries.  We will be happy to quote delivery charges on sight of the order.

Guarantee

• We only select and despatch the best looking plants.  They are all in excellent healthy condition, and we believe them to be true to name.  However, if you have any concerns, please telephone us within 7 days of delivery to arrange a refund.  Satisfied customers are important to us, so any complaints will be dealt with quickly and considerately.

• We regret we cannot accept responsibility for failures through bad weather, poor planting, or any cause beyond our control, and any liability will be limited to the value of the plants invoiced.  We shall not be liable for any consequential loss or damage by the customer.

Data Protection

• We maintain customers’ details for order processing and marketing purposes.  We do not sell them on to anyone else.  Please advise us if you wish us to amend or remove your details from our database.
